Artwork by Lynn Basa
In May of 2007, Mosaika installed a 500 sq. ft. mosaic in Claremont California, designed by public artist Lynn Basa. In 2010, we will be installing its ‘sister’ piece for the Kinzie West Building in Chicago Ill. Based on a series of paintings created for the first “Grove” project, this new artwork will be fabricated entirely from smalti, and will cover 150 sq. ft.

Artwork by Rupert Garcia
These two artworks created by California’s own Rupert Garcia are destined for the San Francisco General Hospital. Comprised of smalti and hand-glazed ceramic tiles, these artworks are a wonderful mix of form and color, with interesting textures and nuances. Each mosaic will be close to 400 sq. ft.

Mosaika is creating a series of mosaics to adorn the walls of the Centre Des Carrieres Western QC, in Aylmer Quebec. Designed by Pierre Blanchette, these angled stripes will be crafted from hand-glazed ceramic and smalti, and will climb from the bottom to the top of this 8 foot wall.

Artwork by Sarah Morris
Mosaika is starting production on one of our largest projects to date – The new Queens Gateway School in New York City. This massive 1460 sq. ft. wall is made from hand-glazed ceramic tiles that are cut to shapes and assembled on a grid of 6″ squares. This same treatment can be seen with a previous artwork created by Mosaika for Sarah Morris in Key Biscayne, Florida.
