Mosaika Art and Design collaborated with Stephen Andrews to create a huge mosaic of the spectators at a Toronto Raptors basketball game that dominates the lobby of the Canadian Embassy in Paris.
When seen from up close the mosaic’s pixellation dissolves into abstraction, but from afar the image resolves itself into a discernible representation of a crowd.
The mosaic highlights the connections between individuals and the larger crowd – and Canadian society – of which they form a part.
